The phased re-opening of All Saints' church buildings for services is under way with Evening Prayer services at 4.30 pm on every Sunday in August. You will need to book in advance - please see the News page for more information about coming to these services.
Meanwhile our online services and opportunities for prayer continue:
We hold a wide variety of services at different times during the week, so please join us as often as you wish! Services are either held in the historic Church or the modern Church Centre – for more information about our buildings, and their accessibility for people with disabilities, please see the Our Church page. At Christmas and Easter, you will find details of our special services on the News page.
Here is our normal pattern of Sunday services, but this does vary sometimes, so please look at the Monthly Calendar on our Calendar page to see which services will be held this coming Sunday.
8.00am - Holy Communion in the Church
10.30am - Holy Communion OR Morning Prayer OR Worship Together in the Church
AND Sunday Special in the Church Centre (unless there's a Worship Together service)
4.30pm - Evening Prayer in the Church
10.00am - Holy Communion in the Church
8.30am - Morning Prayer in the Church
5.00pm - Evening Prayer in the Church
Someone will welcome you when you arrive and make sure you have everything you need to enjoy the service and feel at home. It’s best to come a few minutes early to get settled before the service starts, you can sit wherever you like and there are usually plenty of seats. Please introduce yourself to one of our ministers before you leave, and if you’re coming to one of our 10.30 am Sunday morning services, do join us in the Hall of the Church Centre after the service for a drink and a chat.
Children are welcome at all our services. They will particularly enjoy our monthly Worship Together service, generally held on the first Sunday morning of the month in the Church, and our Sunday Special service, held on all the other Sundays in the Church Centre.
If you’re coming to a service in the Church with young children, please ask one of the sidespersons who greets you for a 'Happy Bag' that will keep them entertained! And don’t worry if they make a bit of noise, we like to see and hear children in the service. But should you want to take them out for any reason, if you go through the door opposite the church entrance you will find a room along the corridor where you can take them for a while. The toilets are further along the corridor, with baby changing facilities in the disabled toilet.
Our monthly Worship Together service is normally held on the first Sunday of the month in the Church, and is suitable for all ages including young children. There are songs, short talks and Bible readings, and simple prayers, which everyone can appreciate and enjoy. The Boys’ Brigade, Rainbows Brownies and Guides come to some of our Worship Together services. For special occasions like Easter Day the service may be moved to a different Sunday and may include Holy Communion ('Communion Together').
Our Sunday Special service is held from 10.30 am to around 11.15 am in the Church Centre every Sunday, except when there is a Worship Together Service. It’s a service for young families and the young at heart, providing a more informal worship with songs, Bible stories, prayers, talks and activities, and a lot of friendship and fun! The music is lively and modern, and children are encouraged to be fully involved.
All are welcome at our Holy Communion services, held every Sunday and Wednesday, where we reflect on what God is saying to us through the Bible, and receive bread and wine as we remember how Jesus gave up his life for us on the cross. If you don’t usually receive Holy Communion, you may like to come up to the altar holding your service card, to receive a blessing. The Prayer Ministry Team will be here to pray with you privately if you would like this, during and after 10.30 am Holy Communion services on Sundays – there is further information about the work of the team in the Praying section of the What We Do page.
We can arrange for those unable to come to services to receive Holy Communion in their homes – for more information please contact Revd Susan Iskander, 01245 356720, firstname.lastname@example.org.
On weekdays these are short spoken services with Bible readings, responses, and prayers. On Sundays Morning Prayer is a longer service, with a sermon and hymns.
