About Prayer

Prayer is time we spend in the company of God. It’s the way we grow in our relationship.

Sometimes we talk to God. Sometimes God speaks to us.

Sometimes it’s good just to be alone with God, not saying anything.

Pray in the way that comes naturally to you.

Find somewhere quiet, free from distractions. Spend some time just feeling God’s presence. Then tell him what’s on your mind and your heart. Ask him to help you, and to care for people and situations that are important to you. And listen to what God may be saying to you about all of this.

You may like to use some prayers written by other people – take a look at these Everyday Prayers and Special Prayers.

If you would like someone to pray with you or for you, you can call Peter & Linda from our prayer team in complete confidence on 07421 518372. And at the end of most 10.30 am services on a Sunday, if you would like personal prayer Peter & Linda will be there to pray with you privately. To find out more about how prayer can help, please see the Prayer page.

All Saints' Weekly Prayer Guide has prayers for every day of the week, with prayers for ourselves, the church, the community and the world - see this link.

Rev Sally invites you to join her for 'Start the week' prayers in the church every Tuesday from 10.00 - 11.00 am including refreshments.
