If possible please download the Order of Service and bring it with you on a tablet or smartphone to save printing. Please bring your own chair if you can, and stay on afterwards for refreshments and any picnic you have brought with you.

Collection for A Rocha UK

During the service there will be a cash and card collection for A Rocha UK, the charity which runs the free Eco Church programme for churches like All Saints', so please come prepared!

About the service

The service is one of a series on Caring for God's World and will be in three parts:

  • The Impact of Climate Change
  • Action Now for a Better Future
  • Making Our Commitment

During the service we will all have the opportunity to make our own commitment by signing up to this Climate Promise:

Our Climate Promise

Action is needed NOW to respond to the climate emergency, to restore and protect the environment of our planet, and to safeguard the future of life on earth.

We promise as All Saints' Church and as individuals:

Our promises will be collected and placed at the foot of the cross in the churchyard made out of plastic bottles waste.

To find out more about All Saints' commitment to climate action and the environment, please go to our Eco Church page.

A Climate Prayer

Lord of life and giver of hope,
forgive us for the damage we are doing
    to your world and its climate.
We promise to cut our greenhouse gas emissions;
to consume less and to waste less;
to care for the environment and all forms of life;
to share the world's resources more fairly;
to act now to bring about
     local and global changes that are needed.
May the promise we make today
be matched by our faithful living.  Amen.
