Lent and Easter at All Saints'

Posted 06/03/2019

Lent Meditations will be held in the Quiet Room on Wednesdays 13th, 20th and 27th March and 3rd April, from 7.30 - 8.00 pm; thinking about some of the people who were there when Jesus was crucified - how did they react? how did they feel?

The next Worship Together service will be for Mothering Sunday on 31st March, so on 7th April our 10.30 am services will be Holy Communion in the Church and Sunday Special in the Church Centre.

At all services on each Sunday during Lent we will have a preaching series focused on these 'Five Marks of Mission':

  • 10th March - To proclaim the Good News of the Kingdom
  • 17th March - To respond to human need by loving service
  • 24th March - To seek to transform unjust structures of society, to challenge violence of every kind and to pursue peace and reconciliation
  • 31st March - To teach, nurture and baptise new believers
  • 7th April - To strive to safeguard the integrity of creation and renew the life of the earth

Church Electoral Roll Renewal 2019

Posted 06/03/2019

We are required by law to compile a New Electoral Roll from scratch by 31st March 2019. Being on the Electoral Roll allows people to vote in local church elections and to vote for the church governing bodies in Chelmsford Diocese. It also helps us to show our commitment

  • to God's mission through the Church;
  • to belong to All Saints' church community;
  • to respond to God in worship at All Saints' and in all the places where we meet God's people throughout the week.

To be on the Electoral Roll you must be at least 16 years old and must live in the parish or worship regularly at All Saints'. Enrolment forms are available from the church: please submit your completed Electoral Roll form - and your 'Staying in Touch' form (see below) - by Sunday 31st March at the latest.

Under the latest data protection legislation, we need your permission to contact you. If you would like to receive information from time to time about All Saints' news, events, activities, initiatives and/or services which we think would interest you, please complete a Staying in Touch form (PDF or Word format) and return it to our PCC Secretary David Gauld by email or post to the addresses given on the form.  Or you can leave it in his pigeonhole at the church, or in the box for completed forms which we will have at every church service during September.

The ways that we use your contact details and keep them safe, and your rights concerning any personal data that we hold about you, are fully explained on the 'More About Us' page under the heading Data Protection.

The Great Organ Fix

Posted 01/02/2018

The Organ at All Saints' is very important to the life and music of the Church, but it needs major repairs and upgrading. So we are fundraising for 'The Great Organ Fix' - a full programme of works to enable our organs to inspire us for years to come. Events are being organised throughout the year to raise funds, and personal donations will play a big part in achieving our target too. Click HERE to find out more and see how you can help us transform our organ for the future.
